PhD Thesis Title: “Event Prediction based on semantic sentiment analytics of big data in social media networks”.

Theocharis Theocharopoulos has a BSc in Computer Science from the Hellenic Open University, a MSc in e-Government from the University of the Aegean and is studying towards a PhD degree. His interests include big data analytics, social network analysis, sentiment detection and natural language processing. His work focuses on the study of social networks and especially social media analytics for Twitter. His main research interest is the analysis of citizen perception and involvement in political events using big data, such as predicting election outcome using sentiment analysis.
