imitrios Tsolakis is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean. He is a highly dependable informatics graduate of the IT Department of Technological Educational Institute of Lamia with fourteen years’ experience in the development of informatics systems and software. He holds a Phd from the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean, a master degree on Cultural Informatics from the same department and a master degree on International Business Administration from Guglielmo Marconi University. His professional experience includes software development and data base managing, as he worked for Quality and Reliability S.A. for twelve years. He involved in complete project life cycle having completed many government IT projects. Furthermore, he authored multiple development artifacts, including requirements, detailed design, code, unit and target test cases. While since 2017, he works as a system operator of the mainframe hardware and software of the Central Bank of Greece. In addition, his academic experience motivate him making use of machine learning to make sense of data, and then develop clustering and classification methods for digital image processing. During his PhD studies he has become well versed in formulating project goals, researching methods and testing parameters, analyzing data, and generating detailed reports to publishing in academic journals. He also gained experience in applying neural network algorithms in image processing, data pre-processing and analysis.Last but not least, he lives in Athens and his has a daughter named Fotini.
